First Haircuts...

On Friday evening we took Tate to get his first haircut. He loved sitting in the car and watching the Bob the Builder movie on TV. We just got a trim, so no worries about his curls (Banty and Mimi)!!!

Emmy also wanted in on the action, so she got a bang trim and got to play with all the products!

Emmy vs. The Coffee Table - Round 1

Well, Emmy got into it with the coffee table last night, and as you can see, the coffee table got in a hard hit! Bless her heart, she was just walking and fell right into the table. She was upset about it for 5 miutes or so, and then was back to her old self laughing and talking. I think it bothered Brad and I more than it did her. We will let you know how Round 2 goes.... :)

Lions and Taters and Princesses, OH MY!!

Yesterday we took the kids to the Dallas Zoo. The weather was beautiful and it was not crowded at all. Emmy was in love with all the animals. She would point to everything from snakes to lions to goats and say "Unt Tat" (her version of want that)!!! If it were up to her, we would have a house full of animals! She was amazed with everything she saw and not afraid of anything. She would put her hands up to the glass of the snake cages and leaned over the railing to see the lions and elephants.

Tate on the other hand loved looking at everything, but did not want out of the stroller.
It was his "safe place". His favortie parts were the birds (either the exotic birds in the cages, or just the pigeons in the food court, it did not matter to him), and of course the french fries (nothing, but health food!) he had at lunch. :)

They both liked the bronzed animals because they could touch them. It is the little things in life! :)

Two Little Monkeys...

Nana and Papa gave us one of their climb and slide toys last week and it finally dried up enough for the kids to get outside and enjoy it last night. They really like to climb up the slide, but we are trying to teach them how to climb up the back and slide down. Huckleberry just stood next to it and watched the kids play. Thank you, Nana and Papa!!

Happy Birthday, Papaw!

We had Papaw's birthday dinner last night. Tate and Emmy got to visit with their cousin, Brody. Emmy was very jealous of the idea of her Mommy holding another baby! Tate just wanted to touch Brody, I think he will be glad when Brody can get up and get in trouble with him! :) Here are some pictures from last night. As you can see, Emmy did not like the idea of being in the boy picture!:)

Playroom...

Here are some pictures of Tate and Emmy's new playroom. Mimi and I cleaned out one of the extra rooms last Friday and made space for ALL the toys that have overtaken our house. The kids love to play in their new playroom. Now we do not have to worry about tripping over 30 toys on the way to their room! :) Thank you, Mimi, for helping me! :)

Our new view...

Here is the new view from our kitchen window. Now that it is not so blasted hot outside, we have been putting the corral out for the kids to play in. Since they are both obsessed with outside, this is a great solution.

Pumping Iron...

We have been trying out some local baby gyms for the kids. Last week Mimi and I took the kids to Little Gym (basically a huge padded room for kids). They loved the class. They got to climb, roll, run, yell, and explore for 45 minutes straight without being told no. It was also great because they got to interact with other kids their age. On Saturday, Brad and I took the kids to Gymboree Gym. (This is very similar to Little Gym.) They got to learn about riding on things from slides to trains to trampolines. It still amazes me how much they learn everyday. :) They were both so tired out after the classes they took 4 hour naps!!! Gotta love it!
