Thumb Sucker?

This is what I found this afternoon when I went in to check on Lyla. None of my kids have ever taken a paci, not because they didn't have the chance, just because they did not like them. Tate and Emmy were not thumb suckers...but Lyla has found her thumb more than once lately...we will see. :)

Sisters...

It is just too much fun to watch Emmy and Lyla interact. They already seem to have a sisterly bond between them. I can't wait to watch these two grow up together, play dress-up and all sorts of girly things. :) Watching some tv together

Emmy loves to give Lyla her bottle!

First Piggie Tails...

Lyla had her first pigtails today. I know they are little, but aren't they just too cute? She is really beginning to laugh and enjoy playing these days. Some of her favorite things to do are lay on her playmat and kick, sit in her bumbo and watch the circus that is our house, and she still loves her bath (she starts fussing for it about 5pm sometimes!). She went for her 4 month appointment last week and weighed 16.5 lbs (90%), and was 70% for height and 90% for head circumference... Piggy tails in a piggie shirt!

Here is a picture of Emmy in her first pig tails...she was 11 months old! :)

Playing with Sarah

While we were in Houston, one of my friends and old sorority sisters came over to visit. Crystal brought her daughter Sarah over to play. We had not seen each other in several years, but keep up with each other and our kids through blogs. :) We had a great time visiting and Tate and Emmy are still talking about their friend Sarah. Thank you for making the trip over to see us...hopefully we can get together again soon! Emmy and Lyla on the way to feed the ducks

Road Trip to Houston

Last weekend, we went to Houston to visit Aunt Jo Jo and family. The kids did great in the car and had a great time playing with all their cousins... Jo Jo, Kindal and Emmy walking to feed the ducks

The ducks got to eat lots of bread!

There are some horse stables by Jo Jo's house so the kids got to visit horses

Cousin Blakely...too cute!

While we were there, it was Uncle Gary's birthday, so the girls helped make him a cherry cobbler.

Davis, Stacy, Kindal and Tate feeding the ducks again.

Emmy and Kindal...they are 3 months apart!

Eating breakfast before it was time to head home.
Thank you to Jo Jo and Gary for letting us come and stay with you guys! And thank you to Erin for taking me to MOPs and shopping...We had a great time!

Tate and Sadie Jane

First, I want to apologize for being a bad blogger. I think this is the longest I have ever gone without blogging. No particular reason other than life is busy. :) Last week, we kept Sadie Jane while Boots and Banty were out of town. Tate was in charge of feeding and walking her. This was the first night we had her. Tate wanted her to sleep with him and I said it was fine, not thinking she would stay in the bed with him. Well, about 30 minutes after they went to bed, Brad went in to check on them and we saw that Tate had a grip on her collar, so she had no choice but to stay. Poor Sadie Jane!

Some Firsts for All...

Emmy slept in sponge rollers for the first time this week. She just loved the curls the next day for dance class. All ready to go...

Lyla-Bug got to have cereal with a spoon for the first time this week. She did surprisingly well. I remember Tate and Emmy making a much bigger mess than she did. I think she actually swallowed more than half of what she was given!

Yum!

After her bath, just look at those lashes!

Brad took Tate to Bass Pro Shops (or the huntin' store as Tate calls it) for the first time. They went to buy a turkey hunting video...so while they were there, Brad let Tate play with the games they have there. He was so excited he got to shoot at turkeys, hogs and deer, see big boats and a bunch of fish. Tate is determined we all need to go together...

These were taken with Brad's phone, so they are not the best quality, but you get the idea.

Swimming in the Tub

When the kids spent the night with Mimi and Papaw last week, Emmy was watching Papaw clean the filters out in the pool. She was determined she was going to swim! Since the water is freezing (which took putting her feet in to prove it) she went "swimming" in Mimi's bath tub. Mimi said she stayed in there for the longest time just splashing and blowing bubbles. She is a summer kind of kid! :) Here's to warmer weather and swimming soon! :) Silly Girl!

Tate did not want to swim, but gave his horse a drink of water instead.
Thanks for the pics, Mimi.

Favorites this week...

Emmy loves her new overalls Aunt Jo made her...Thank you so much! :)

Tate is loving his workbench Santa left him.

Lyla had her first ear infection this week...YUCK! She beat the twins by 3 months getting her first one, so this week she has loved her swing. In fact, this is where she has slept the past 3 nights.

Thanks Geer Family!

While Brad was in Sonora last weekend, Honey and Coach helped me out by taking Tate and Emmy for a few days. I am not sure who had more fun! Tate and Emmy with Cousin Lindsey

They also went to church on Sunday...

Notice Tate's new short do
(This was not intentional...the lady just got a little scissor happy...
the curls will be back as soon as possible!)
And notice the black eye...that was a result of a wrestling match gone bad! :)
