GattiTown

Saturday night, we battled the rain and cold to met Mimi, Papaw, Uncle B, Auntie M and Cousin Brody at GattiTown for some pizza and rides. The kids loved the carousel, even Brody got in on the excitement. Uncle B and Daddy took Tate and Emmy on the pirate ship, that did not go over too well....maybe when they get older. My camera's battery died, so we did not get many pictures, but we had a great time.

Tate, Emmy and Cousin (B)Ellie???

The kids got to meet thier cousin Ellie this week. Aunt Laci came to visit because Uncle Todd was out of town. (We missed you Todd!!!)

The kids were more interested in playing with all the house guests and not so much in Ellie, but I have to say I loved getting to hold and rock her. :)

When we were playing one night I asked Emmy where Ellie was and she looked at me confussed and finally lifted up her shirt and pointed to her belly! We have been working on body parts with the kids and she thought I was asking where her belly was. Too funny!

Tate was interested in Ellie when I was bathing her. He kept trying to give her toys to play with and at the end of the bath we had a soaked Tater (pajamas and all) because he decided to dive into the tub with Ellie.

The Tiger and The Dog...

These are the towels we got them for Christmas, but we just now got good pictures of the kids in them. Emmy loves the "dowg" towel and we think Tate makes a cute Tiger!

Do I have something on my face?

Last night, we celebrated Banty's birthday with fajitas, fun, and lots of cake! The kids could not get enough of the cake. I am surprised they went to bed last night!

Stir-Crazy

The weather has been horrible here the past week, so that means no outside time for the kids. Today we had enough of staying in, so I bundled the kids up in their jackets and hats that Nana and Papa gave them for Christmas and we took Huckleberry on a walk. They were glad for the fresh air and I enjoyed the 15 minutes of silence! :) Here are some pics of the kids all bundled up.

New Trick

Here is a picture of what I found yesterday when I went to get Tate from his nap. Notice the missing diaper. It had been missing for the whole nap (about 2 hours). You can imagine the mess we had to clean up! New rule: We always sleep in pants! :) Ah, the joys and surprises of parenthood.

Emmy's First Haircut

On Saturday, I went to get Emmy's hair trimmed. Here are some pictures of her in the car she got to sit in. She was great during the haircut, mainly because they gave her a tur-tle to hold. She was so amazed by the turtle she did not even know they were cutting her hair.

18 Months

Tate and Emmy turned 18 months back on Jan 7th, but just went to their check up last week. Here are the stats...

Tate
26 lb. 2 oz.
32.75 inches
30 % percentile for weight and height

Emmy
24 lb. 0 oz.
30.5 inches
40 % percentile for weight and height

They got their last shots for a while (4 years should be the next ones). The Dr. said they are perfectly healthy and developing great.

We are truly blessed! :)

Night-Night

Here is a picture of the kids before they went to bed last night. Daddy was trying to snuggle with them, but Emmy is very protective of her night-night and wanted Daddy off!

Ketchup Anyone???

Tate loves to go to the Mexican food place down from our house to eat beans and rice, but the last few times we have gone he has picked up on the dipping chips thing. He is very interested in the whole process. We let him try the salsa, but it was too spicy for him, so he got mad when we took it away from him. We had the waiter bring us some ketchup in a bowl. Problem solved! He was actually eating ketchup on chips...gross, I know, but here is the picture to prove it. Thank goodness for spray n wash!
After reading this, Uncle B (who works for Frito Lay) informed me that Frito Lay actually makes a ketchup flavored potato chip, but it is only sold in Canada... http://www.taquitos.net/snacks.php?snack_code=369
I guess it is not that strange afterall, but I still think it is gross!!

Bubbles...

Tate and Emmy have found another reason to love taking a bath...BUBBLES! Thanks to Mimi, they can both say bubbles now. Here are some pictures of the kids acting goofy in Mimi's tub.
