A Blue Tounge and A New Nightgown...

Funny story...
Yesterday, when I picked the kids up from school I asked the teacher how they did. She said they were great kids and a joy to have in the classroom. Then she told me about Tate's funny story. Yesterday they talked about God giving us eyes to see, ears to hear, tongues to taste, hands to feel, and noses to smell. They had activities all day to go along with this lesson. They were testing their taste buds at one point with different types of fruit (bananas, apples, lemons, oranges, etc.). Well, the teacher was letting the kids experiment for themselves what each fruit tasted like. She said she turned around and Tate was eating the lemon, rind and all, and not making a face! Goofy kid! She said he would not have anything to do with the other fruits, just wanted more lemons!
I have to say he is our comic relief... We were talking about taste last night and Tate had some blue Gatorade after playing outside.
Here is a picture of him showing off his blue tongue. Of course, Emmy thought this was so funny!

And here is a picture of Emmy in her new nightgown. I thought I would try it on her to see if she would sleep in it. She took one look at it in the mirror and said, "So cute!!! I show Dada!!". She still had it on this morning and refused to take it off. You may see this again!

Papaw's Dinner...

Last night, we went out to dinner for Papaw's birthday.
After dinner we went to Marble Slab for some ice cream. YUM! Emmy enjoying her "sprinkled" cone.

Three Monkeys!

Brody B. enjoying a little chocolate ice cream.

Tate eating the plain cone.

He hates ice cream because he says it is too "told" (cold)!! He has never liked it...we are checking to see who's kid he is!!!!

Photo Shoot...

On Saturday, we went to see the Lion King (great!!!!) and the kids went to spend the night with Honey and Coach (pictures to follow soon), but before they left Emmy wanted her picture taken. She said, "Mama, take my picture!!!". So, here are some cute ones from Saturday. Posing for the camera!

All dressed in her "cute" pants (that is what she calls these) and her "tur-tle" bracelet.

Goofy!

WWF Time!!!

Almost every night when Brad gets home the kids are ready to "wresle". They will tell him to change clothes and want to go back to their room to wrestle Daddy. Here are some pics from last week's match! I think Daddy is out numbered!!! "I get him!"

"Is it wrestle time?"

"Let's count to three and get him!"

Play, Play, Play

Last week, we got to hang out with our friend, Jack, twice. Jack is a little younger than the kids, but they play well together. I enjoy visiting with Jack's mom while the kids play. Last week we had Jack over to play and then joined their playgroup on Friday at the park. The kids were very brave when it came to the "big" slide. After Jack left on Wednesday, Emmy said, "Where's Jack? I yike (like) him!" The best pic we have of them playing.

Thank you, Carol, for sending the pictures!

"Go Daddy!!!"

On Monday nights, Brad is playing softball with some guys from our Sunday School class.
The kids love going out to the ballpark to cheer him on, of course I have to watch the scoreboard every once in a while to see what is happening. I am far to busy keeping up with the kids to watch the game. :)
Here are some pics from last nights game. The Fam.

"Watching" the other kids.

It takes them a little while to warm up.

Giving Daddy a little pep talk :)

Best friends, going to the ballpark.

Playgrounds, Cupcakes and CRAZY hair!

Brad has been working very hard on the kids play area in the backyard. Yesterday, Papaw came over to help with the assembly of the play set that Nana and Papa gave the kids. Let's just say it looked easy on the box, but it is still not finished! The guys worked on it for a good 3-4 hours and they still have some to do! Thank you to Daddy and Papaw for all your hard work! Also, Banty came into town last night to spend the week with us. She brought some cupcakes for the kids and we gave them to them last night. Mimi, Banty and I were laughing so hard at the kids...see pics below...

Hair by Daddy! He said she wanted all the bows in her hair!

She was very worried her hands were dirty!

That icing was some greasy stuff! Banty took them in to take a bath and the tub was blue and green when they were finished!

No More (Naked) Monkeys Jumping on the Bed...

This is a picture of what happens when two toddlers get creative. It is the only one that is blurry enough to share! On Saturday, I went to the grocery store and left Brad in charge of the kids. He was in the kitchen doing dishes while the kids were in the playroom. He heard them laughing hysterically at each other and went back to see what was going on. He found Tate with no diaper on and Emmy attempting to get hers off. They had gotten on the bed and were running around and jumping on the bed just laughing at each other. Brad went and grabbed the camera to show me what they had done. Like I said, there were funnier pics, just none that we can post on the Internet! :) Never a dull moment! Brad and I are always saying our house is a circus, guess that is true!
