Tate and Thomas...

On Friday, Tate got to ride Thomas the Train in Grapevine. Papaw and Mamaw took him (that is why we don't have many pictures). He was so excited all week and he was such a good boy the whole trip. Thank you to Mamaw for the tickets and Papaw for taking the day off to spend with Tate. He is still talking about it and wearing the hat around the house. Tea anyone?

On Friday, while Tate was riding Thomas the Train, Mimi and I took Emmy to the tea room downtown Grapevine. To say the least, she was at home there. It was decorated so cute and she got lots of princess attention. If you have a little girl, I highly recommend this place!

She even got to wear some blush and lip gloss (pink, of course!)

Papa and Tate

Every Thursday, the kids go and stay with Nana and Papa. They all have a great time. Here are some pictures of Tate and Papa hanging out. Looking over the fence at the dogs. Tate told Papa he wanted a ladder for his house!

The First Ride...of many!!!

Well, he finally did it. He got on a horse. For those of you who know Tate, he is obsessed with horses and loves to read about them, feed them, talk endlessly about them, but until now he had not gotten the courage to actually get on one! On Saturday, after the Great Egg Hunt and a good nap, Daddy and Boots had the horses out and he got interested, but not up to the challenge, that is until Cousin Ellie was put up on San Shoe. Well, it took a total of about 2 seconds to see that she did not explode when put on the horse and it was all of a sudden his turn. He started out on Pancho with Daddy and then rode San Shoe with Boots. I am sure this is the first of MANY rides...Boots, get ready!! About 5 seconds after Rooster put him on Pancho

Not wanting to get off!

This is easy~Thanks Ellie for the peer pressure! :)

By the way...Emmy had a logical excuse for not riding...

apparently it was because she did not have her hat on...believe that?? :)

The Great Egg Hunt...

On Saturday, Boots and Banty had a crowd at their house for a yummy lunch and egg hunt.
We all had a great time visiting with everyone. On your mark...

Homebodies...

The kids have been sick this week with a yucky virus (fever and sore throat), so we have spent lots of time at home. Thank goodness their imaginations can keep them busy. Although, I think we have seen every episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ever made. Emmy actually knows all the words and moves to the hot dog dance...Hot Diggity Dog!

Busted! He discovered chocolate helps his sore throat!! Ha ha!

Here he is counting the eggs...he does well as long as he doesn't think anyone is listening.

This is what she will wear all day if I let her.

Last night it was a fight because she wanted to sleep in it...shoes and all!

Love the Motrin!!

She was on her way to Target to get some cupcakes and milk

He got these sunglasses from our neighbor, Ross. Of course, he only wears them upside down!

Too cool!

This is the new hangout it takes me 15 minutes to clean off the fireplace every night. :)

Hanging out...

We have had beautiful weather here this week, so the kids have gotten some use out of their playground. Notice Tate's new shoes. He told Mimi he wanted to go to Target and get some new shoes and this is what he picked out. They are from the movie cars and he loves them! He told Boots the other night they make him run fast!

I found some things to go in the crocs for them the other day. Emmy got a cinderella and a crown and Tate got a football and a mickey mouse.

Being Emmy...

What a girly-girl! We are on week 5 of only wearing dresses and nightgowns! She refuses to wear anything else and she insists she pick out what she wears everyday. Gone are the days when I can lay out her clothes the night before. What a (beautiful) mess!

Of course, we have a bow and shoes that match perfectly...In fact, she had a green dress on the other day and was very upset with me because I did not have green shoes to go with them.

Oh boy...we are in trouble!

She is obsessed with Mary Poppins. We watch the movie at least 3 times a day. She will get up and dance when Mary dances, sing when Mary sings, etc.
On her way to hunt eggs at school

Found one!

Hmmmm....
