We had a great trip, but missed our little Lyla-Bug dearly! I know she would not have enjoyed the beach…maybe next year! A special thanks to Mimi and Papaw for keeping her while we were gone! :)

Beach Trip

We spent a few days in Port Aransas.  Tate and Emmy had a great time on the beach.

This was Tate’s “nest”.  A little flashback to the 80’s…papasan chairs!  He loved it…took naps here and slept in it.  So funny!

 

Oh, Miss Emmy has come a long way since her first beach trip 2 years ago…she did not even get a toe wet that first trip, now you can’t get her out of the water!  She is even swimming most of the time in the pool with no life jacket.

Texas State Aquarium

On our way to Port Aransas, we spent a day in Corpus Christi while Brad did some business.  The kids had a great time staying at the hotel and swimming in the pool.  While we were in Corpus, we went to the Texas State Aquarium.  If you are ever in Corpus, I recommend spending the afternoon there.

They had a dolphin show that you could watch above or below the water.  It was neat to see them “perform” from under the water

It was so hard to take pics because it was dark in the room, but all the tanks were lit up.  So, here are a few I tried without the flash.

After we finished with the Aquarium we headed to Port Aransas for a few days with The Greene family.  (Pics coming soon)  Brad and I thought the kids would enjoy taking the ferryboat over to the island, so we waited in the 45 minute line for them to sleep through the whole thing!  Oh well…I just could not bear to wake them!  :)

Tate’s Vacation

While Emmy was busy with her recital weekend, Boots and Banty took Tate back to Clifton for the Annual Clifton Livestock Show, Rodeo and Carnival.

Let’s just say he was not ready to come home…he actually extended his weekend into Monday! Thank you to Boots and Banty!
