Feeding the turtles...

Yesterday, Boots and Banty came to visit on their way to Colorado. We played, went to the park (a few times), went to eat some mexican food, and went to the park to feed the turtles some bread. Tate was the first one to the end of the pier at the park, but Emmy thought it was a little to much like going out to the ocean. She finally warmed up to the idea and they loved watching the turtles eat the bread they were throwing. Poor turtles were probably so bloated by the end of the whole bag of bread! :) Sitting by the turtles in our turtle shirts (thanks Mimi!)

Baby Hop-Hop!

On Thursday, when the kids and I got home from Nana and Papa's house Dada was doing some yard work and found a baby hop-hop (rabbit) and he wanted to show the kids. Don't worry, I would not let the kids touch it and Brad wore gloves. Tate would not sleep that night because he kept talking about the baby hop-hop. They still remember where it lives and talk about it daily!
Look at that baby hop-hop!

Sansing Family Reunion

This weekend we went to South Padre Island for the first annual Sansing Family Reunion. My mom has 3 sisters and they came with all their families. There were a total of 32 people (including 9 kids ages 7 and under!!!). We have not all been together in so long, but we had a great time catching up and watching all the kids play together. Thank you to Aunt Jo and Mimi for organizing the weekend and making it a great time for everyone. The Group

Hey Brody B. - You look like you need a goldfish!

Unc B and Emmy - All weekend she would say, "I want B!"

You still look hungry...here is another goldfish!

We had t-shirts made for each family with the family name on the back. Here are the two Greene kids. :)

First trip to the beach...

The kids took their first plane ride this weekend. They were great on the way there and we were delayed on the way home, so that got a little interesting. They loved the plane and the bus we took from the car to the airport. It was easier than I thought it would be to travel with 2 toddlers. Of course, we sent all the luggage with Mimi and Papaw, so that helped out alot! :) On the bus to the airport.

Waiting for the plane.

We took the kids to South Padre this past weekend for a family reunion. It was our first vacation with the kids and the first time they got to see the ocean. We had been talking about the ocean for weeks and the kids were really excited about it. Tate is a natural beach bum. He loved everything about it. Emmy was not too sure about the whole thing. She just stood and stared at the water. I am not sure we ever got her toes wet! In all, we had a great time, no one got sunburned and we had a great time visiting with everyone. We look forward to next years reunion.

The Turtle Rescue

While we were in South Padre this weekend we went to a Sea Turtle Rescue Center to see the turtles. The kids loved being able to get so close to the turtles and see how big they were. It was interesting because each turtle had been injured in some way or another and was there to recover before being released.

So, this is a turtle.

This was the friendliest turtle at the rescue. It would reach up and wave at you and then put his head over the edge to greet you.

We were all hot and tired, but loved seeing the turtles.

No, don't feed me to the turtles!!!
