Emmy and Harper's Playdate

Yesterday, I took Emmy over to our friend Julie's house. Julie's little girl, Harper, is about 5 months older than Emmy. They are the only 2 girls their age in all of our Sunday School class, so they are going to have to stick together with all those boys. But, I am pretty sure these two will be able to hold their own! :)

The girls had a great time playing together and we had a great time visiting. Thank you, Julie, for having us over. The conversation and food were both great!

Caged Animals...

We have two doggie windows in our backyard for Huckleberry to watch all the kids walk to and from school in the mornings and afternoons, but now we have two more spectators in the afternoon. The school kids love to walk up to the fence and say "hello" to our three caged animals! :)

Boot Camp...

Boots and Banty came in from Hawaii this morning. We made breakfast, played in the afternoon and met Mimi and Papaw for dinner.

This afternoon, Boots was doing some exercises in the living room and Emmy decided she needed to burn a few calories too, so she went in and started doing squats with Boots! She did about 3 of them and decided she needed to break for some cookies. :) Emmy is wearing her "tur-tul" shirt that Boots and Banty got for her in Hawaii.

Cookie Playdate...

Our cousins, Lauren and Audrey, came over on Friday and we made Valentine cookies and crowns with the kids. Tate really got into the crown making, you can see he is very serious about it. We tried to get all the kids together on the couch with the crowns on, but you can see that was harder than it sounded.

Thank you to Mimi for helping us learn to make cookies and thanks to Cousin Amy for bringing the girls over, Tate and Emmy loved it! :)

Banana's Anyone?

Who knew our children would like bananas? Tate actually ate the whole thing, except the one bite Emmy took when he forced her to! :)

She's with me...

Ok, I know kids do cute things everyday, but my kids happened to learn the cutest thing in the past few days...holding hands. I know it does not sound to exciting to everyone else, but I do think it is about the sweetest thing I have seen in a long time. Tate will grab Emmy's hand and lead her all over the place. She thinks it is pretty cool to have an older brother that will hold her hand. Afterall, that is what big brothers are for (even if they are just one minute older).

Dirty Laundry...

The kids have found a new place to play...the laundry baskets. Just think of all the money we could have saved at Christmas! HA HA!!

Downhill skiing???

This morning, Mimi took these pictures of the kids playing in Papaw's shoes. My kids are obsessed with all shoes. Emmy has actually forced Brad to change his shoes before because she loves to help him put them on.

GattiTown

Saturday night, we battled the rain and cold to met Mimi, Papaw, Uncle B, Auntie M and Cousin Brody at GattiTown for some pizza and rides. The kids loved the carousel, even Brody got in on the excitement. Uncle B and Daddy took Tate and Emmy on the pirate ship, that did not go over too well....maybe when they get older. My camera's battery died, so we did not get many pictures, but we had a great time.

Tate, Emmy and Cousin (B)Ellie???

The kids got to meet thier cousin Ellie this week. Aunt Laci came to visit because Uncle Todd was out of town. (We missed you Todd!!!)

The kids were more interested in playing with all the house guests and not so much in Ellie, but I have to say I loved getting to hold and rock her. :)

When we were playing one night I asked Emmy where Ellie was and she looked at me confussed and finally lifted up her shirt and pointed to her belly! We have been working on body parts with the kids and she thought I was asking where her belly was. Too funny!

Tate was interested in Ellie when I was bathing her. He kept trying to give her toys to play with and at the end of the bath we had a soaked Tater (pajamas and all) because he decided to dive into the tub with Ellie.
