Chores...

While the kids were in Clifton, they really enjoyed being able to help with the chore of feeding the horses. Tate would wake up saying, "It's feed Blue Duck (one of the horses) time!" I had to include this goofy picture of Tate saying cheese!

Getting the horses some treats.

They really like the kids there because they get more than usual.

Emmy and her Dada!

Tate will put the lid on the cat food and say, "No Mouse!!!"

because Boots told him to put the lid on to keep the mice out.

Enjoying a little barn time.

Clean-up on aisle 2!

Last night, the kids thought they would get creative with their shopping cart. I guess Tate went shopping for a new sister, good thing he came home with a smart and beautiful one! :) They will take the cart and say, "I go shopin', Mama!"

I love the look on his face, it is the

"GEEE, how did she get in there?" look!

Funny...

Last night I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and this is the conversation I overheard...

Tate from the back room: "Shissy, Come Here!!!"

Emmy in the kitchen: "Tata, I comin!!!!"

Emmy in the back room: "I yike (like) it, Tata!!!"

I never did figure out what she "yiked", but it cracked me up the way they sound like a little old couple. I love that they always have each other and I know they will be best friends for a very long time. What a blessing it is to hear them intereact with each other. And it gives me the giggles just thinking about the way they sound! :)

Also, here are some pictures from Josh's game last week. Hopefully next season we can get a picture with the kids and Josh in his uniform. :) We had to take Emmy home early because she fell and scratched up her face, as you can see from the picture...

First Day at Preschool

This morning was the kids first day at preschool. They are going one day a week at our church. Everything went very smoothly this morning. No tears, for mommy or daddy and just a few for Tate and Emmy, but they were finished before we turned the corner to leave. The teacher said they had a great day and they seemed to love it. Mommy liked it too, lots of time to get things done without four "helping" hands. Their stuff...nap mats, lunchboxes and backpacks.

Two Year Pictures...

Last week, Tate and Emmy finally took their 2 year old pics... They were in a loving mood that day. :)
Giving Sissy some sugars.

Striking a pose.
I love the look on Emmy's face. You can almost hear her laughing.

Just an innocent little boy. :) Yeah, right!

Classic Emmy face.

He looks so old in this picture.
She loved her "princess" outfit

Just some candid shots

Another "angel" picture.

Sunday...

Yesterday we went over to Mimi and Papaw's house to beat the heat with a little swim. The water felt better yesterday now that it has not been over 100 degrees during the day. The kids are getting better and better at actually "swimming" across the pool. They are starting to use their arms and legs more.

We do love each other!

They call this the "chair" move!

Saturday...

Nana had ordered this truck and trailer for Tate. He loves pushing the Pop-Tops around in the trailer. Thanks Nana and Papa!

This morning, Tate and Daddy went to "Donald's" (McDonalds) to get "pam-cakes" (pancakes) for breakfast. While the boys were gone, Emmy and I decided to set the table. She was really into it and was a big help and she loved getting to choose where everyone was going to sit. (Of course, her seat was next to her Daddy's! Ready for some "pam-cakes"

New Barn

Last night, Boots and Banty brought the kids a new barn to play with. As most of you know, Tate is obsessed with barns/ranches/and anything that lives there. He is mesmerized when he plays with his barns (he now has 3) and farm animals. In fact, he insisted on sleeping with all the barn animals he has ever been given tonight, just in case you were wondering, that is at least 25 different animals (from horses to cows to birds and cats)!!!

They are truly hours of entertainment. Cleaning up the barn...
